Coolmore came to us for a brand film with an ambitious idea at its heart: move between the 1850s and the present day, telling 175 years of breeding as one story.

Getting the time period exactly right meant planning everything first: storyboards, references, schedules, two timelines in one production. Staying true to the era was crucial, with accurate costume, set design and locations crafted until no trace of the modern world remained.
Natural light shaped everything and Ireland rarely makes that easy. We built the shoot around flexibility instead of a fixed schedule: fully prepped, the team ready to move the moment the light turned. By the time we rolled, every other call was already made, so the only thing left to chance was the light and the horses. Horses are their own discipline. You can't direct them or rush them. We’d planned for that too. No retries.
